Bottega Veneta Jodie

The Jodie takes its name from a bag Bottega Veneta originally designed for Jodie Foster in 2000, and its 2019 revival under Daniel Lee became one of the defining hobo shapes of the Intrecciato-driven Bottega revival. The design is deceptively simple: a soft, unstructured woven body gathered onto a single knotted handle, with no hardware, no branding, and almost nothing holding its shape but the leather itself. That simplicity is also where the Jodie's real care risks live — the knot that makes the bag's silhouette is also its single structural weak point, and a hobo shape with no internal support collapses fast when it's empty.
